About St. Peter

Welcome to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Rockwell!

We are a church of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) in Rockwell, IA, a small, friendly community (located just 10 miles south of Mason City, IA,) in North Central, IA. We offer a traditional Lutheran worship service every Sunday morning, along with Sunday School, LYO (Youth Group), Confirmation, Adult Bible Studies, WELCA (Women of the ELCA) and much more! St. Peter is a part of a two-point parish in Northern Iowa. We are joined with St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thornton, Iowa, a community located about 15 miles west and south of Rockwell. We share both pastoral and administrative services with St. Paul. Each year in June, we flip our Sunday worship times so that both churches can benefit from having an earlier service and a later service. Right now, St. Peter in Rockwell holds their worship service at 9:00 a.m., and St. Paul in Thornton at 10:30 a.m. In June of 2023, it will change again.
